Customer Success Manager




Orbital Insight’s mission is to understand what we are doing on and to the Earth and to make that information available to decision makers around the world. We do that with our SAAS GO Analytics platform that takes in dozens of geospatial data sources, including satellite and drone imagery, anonymous cell phone pings, ship location data, connected car and truck data, and other sources. We apply state-of-the art AI and Data Science algorithms to quantitatively measure social and economic events and trends in the CPG, ESG, Industrial Products, Transportation, Financial Services and Public Sector verticals.
We are currently seeking for Customer Success Manager, who is going to work for our US commercial market. As a Customer Success Manager, you oversee the customer lifecycle from deal signature to retention, renewal, and upsell. You will work closely with Solution Engineering, and Sales to ensure consistency of execution of our GTM strategy. To succeed in this role, you will need to be a problem solver, entrepreneurial, new revenue focused, and you must understand consultative solution selling to align customers business problems with Orbital’s solution value.


  • Build rapport with our customers, understanding their business needs and technical requirements.
  • Provide best-in-class support and assistance to clients, helping them get the most out of our products and increasing client adoption & retention
  • Act as the technical advisor and drive customer success by providing usage recommendations, risk identification, and mitigation
  • Onboard new users to our platform, leading training and Q&A sessions
  • Proactively work with customers to establish critical goals, or other key performance indicators and aid the customer in achieving their goals.
  • Communicate product enhancements, white papers, research articles, etc. with clients, prospects, and sales team
  • Identify expansion opportunities within client base and work with new business teammates to achieve growth goals
  • Communicate consistently with clients throughout the contract life-cycle, escalating important issues where needed
  • Gather feedback from clients and prospects and communicate with product and executive teams on a periodic basis
  • Work closely with sales representatives and other teams across the company
  • Growth path: This role will eventually graduate into either 1) Technical Account Management role with more responsibilities on sales and revenue generation or 2) a Solutions Engineering role with more technical responsibilities
  • This position will be required to meet with other colleagues in the offices or travel to meet with clients.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • US Citizenship is required (to serve our Public Sector clients)
  • 3+ years experience in a customer-facing role
  • Experience using GIS tools (i.e. QGIS, ArcGIS, etc)
  • Experience with python
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills and proactive work style
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize job requirements
  • Preferred:
  • 3+ years experience in remote sensing or GIS
  • Experience working with EO, IR, SAR satellite data
  • Experience with telemetry data
