Orbital Insight’s mission is to understand what we are doing on and to the Earth and to make that information available to decision makers around the world. We do that with our SAAS GO Analytics platform that takes in dozens of geospatial data sources, including satellite and drone imagery, anonymous cell phone pings, ship location data, connected car and truck data, and other sources. We apply state-of-the art AI and Data Science algorithms to quantitatively measure social and economic events and trends in the CPG, ESG, Industrial Products, Transportation, Financial Services and Public Sector verticals.
We are currently seeking a Senior Account Executive who is responsible for overall development and execution of new commercial business customers within the [Americas or EMEA] markets. As the Senior Account Executive for our [Americas or EMEA] commercial market, you will work closely with Solution Engineering, Product Management, and Engineering to ensure consistency of execution of our GTM strategy.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a problem solver, entrepreneurial, new revenue focused, and you must understand consultative solution selling to align customers business problems with Orbital’s solution value. You will be expected to draw on your sales experience to provide a consultative sales approach as you learn about the potential client, discuss specific solutions, and demonstrate our applications and solutions. You must be capable of working within a highly motivated team to drive and build your book of business.
This position can be based out of our NYC, DC, Palo Alto offices and will report directly to the SVP, Global Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a sales strategy and increase revenue through new and existing sales opportunities throughout the [Americas/EMEA] market
  • Validate and monetize product market fit for the Orbital Insight GO platform solution by securing contracts in commercial accounts
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement across all areas including product. Drive the feedback discovery process to contribute to product development
  • Develop and present compelling value propositions to illustrate how Orbital Insight GO can create value for commercial customers
  • Drive data sales to mid and large firms across multiple commercial verticals
  • The ability to prospect, demo, and close in a high paced environment
  • Build and manage sales pipeline and consistently and accurately forecast deal size, deal phase and close date
  • Leverage deep understanding of both our data and common usage patterns to educate our clients on how they can best deploy our solution to drive value.
  • Oversee the onboarding of new Services Partners and the continuous education of the partners, ensuring maximum adoption of products and high quality services delivered
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of sales materials to deliver to clients to support the engagement and education process.
  • Provide regular reporting of pipeline and forecast through Salesforce.com

  • Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience selling enterprise SaaS solutions (machine learning, BI, data analytics software experience is a plus but not required)
  • 5+ years of technology (B2B, SaaS preferred) related sales or business development experience with C-level executives.
  • Professional experience drawing conclusions from data to aid decision making or consuming data in a commercial setting
  • Independent, self-disciplined and possess strong verbal and written communications skills
  • History of exceeding quota
  • Expertise in consultative selling and problem solving  
  • Excellent prospecting and networking skills
  • Strong research and data analysis skills, meticulousness and attention to detail are required
  • Experience with Statistics and Analysis not a priority but highly regarded
